Buying a computer is not as difficult as one might think. 

First it is important to know what  are your computer needs.  Write down your basic uses for your computer. Here is a list of questions that you can ask yourself to help you to define exactly what are your computer needs.

Ask which  applications - programs that you mainly use? This will give you a really good idea as to what kind of computer you will need?  Don't underestimate what your true computer usage will be? Do you like to play games on your computer? Do you edit pictures and/or videos? Write down on a list of paper all the programs that you use on your computer, which will help you to decide what your true computer users are.  Make sure you take into consideration any possible future uses that you might be need your computer?
This is the first step to understand the  what kind of computer you need. There is no reason to buy the top of the line if you use  only the  Internet & text editor. 

Check on the internet to see the different kinds of computers on line before you even step into a store, this will give you a really good idea of the different types of computers & the prices.  When you ready buy a computer, make sure you compare prices from a few different stores or online sites. and be aware of salesman that try to sell you what you don't need.
