Cleaning Your Registry Files

The Windows Registry is a database that hold the information that is need to run your computer hardware, and windows, and various other software. It is important to clean your registry files every so often, because like any other database becomes full, and contains useless information.

It is highly recommended that you use a very reliable registry program, and back up all your registry files, before you clean your registry files. It should be quite easy to back up your registry files, using a registry cleaning program.

There are many different registry cleaning programs out there, many come as part of an overall PC optimizing program, others come as a stand alone program. There are many that are freeware - which means that you don't have to pay for the program to use it, but there shareware, and other types of licence's that allow you to "try the program", but there are limitations, but there are quite a few excellent programs out there that have a full free version and they can be very useful.
